When I was young (15-19) I was in a rough place in my life, and got myself into some legal trouble. I was fortunate enough to have a great support system, and I turned my life around. Finished highschool, moved to the city and went on to post secondary school, graduating from 2 programs with honors. I went on to work in the Social Services field, and dedicated my life to giving back to the community.

After being blessed with an amazing child (who just turned 4 years old), I helped found and build, what is today the biggest global mobile focused esports organization. But my past was always there to haunt me. Work required travelling (which i was restricted from doing anything in the US), I wanted to be able to bring my son on vacation, and I hated having to explain my history for every job I ever had, due to the fact that they all asked for criminal record checks.

I tried to do my own Canadian Pardon and U.S. Waiver applications, and even though I was able to accomplish so many things, this was a challenge. After a year of trying to do it on my own, the back and forth with the government, the long waiting process to receive anything back, the money and time it took to get everything in order (or so I thought I had everything), I finally thought I did it. I submitted my package, just to have it sent back.

I decided to do a bit of research, and call around to a few places that handled pardons and waivers, and i finally found the right person. Julie at CPUSW had my attention from the first call with her. She was friendly and very positive, but most importantly, she didn't try to sugar coat anything. She was straight forward with me, but also there to listen to my story, and always available for my phone calls. Julie and her staff were so important in helping me right my past wrongs, and getting me a 5 year US waiver, and a Canadian Pardon. Both her and her team made sure I was kept up to date on everything, and gave me step by step instructions of anything I needed to do. The rest they handled in a timely and professional manor.

If you are looking to have someone help you through this process (which I recommend you get professional help with this, because it is not an easy thing to do on your own, and will cost you way to much time and heart break if you do not have a strong understanding of the legal system), the Julie and the team at CPUSW should be your first choice. You won't be disappointed in their work. The only regret I had in my journey to getting a Pardon and a Waiver was not contacting Julie earlier. I could have been writing this a year earlier if I had just went to them in the first. But I am happy it's done now, and want to say thank you so much to the team at CPUSW.
