This some of the best customer service I have ever received. Craig was diligent about keeping me informed of the repairs and pricing. The quote given was honest and the job accomplished in record time. Bravo!

Called and spoke to Craig. He was very informative and pleasant.

When I brought my car in, I was treated great! Everyone was polite. Craig showed me around the entire facility and explained what they do. He even gave me a brief tutorial on how transmissions work. His personality was stellar! He is honest and works very hard like everyone in the shop. It was a very good experience. They made me feel very welcome.

I met one of the owners, Bruce, and he was just as nice as everyone else in the shop. I can tell that both owners really care about their customers and their employees.

They diagnosed the issue and gave me some options. The pricing was fair and their diagnosis honest. If you have transmission issues, give these guys a call!

I needed transmission repairs incorrect gear ratio, a band replacement, researched the death of where to take the vehicle for repair in GTA/Etobicoke cause tranny repairs can be expensive, especially if you don't do your homework.

Ended, I took it to Transmission Depot. I was greeted by Craig, personable, well spoken, on his game, smooth talking service manager. I was given a tour of the entire facility, introduced to variety of employees offered a coffee and small talk. Both feeling each other out I suppose. Craig knows his work. Craig is on his game. Thanks to Google YouTube, and my 15$ OBD reader and free apps I knew what the problem was pretty much and he confirmed it. It came down to price.

The place looks like it should for a car repair shop. Grease monkeys den. It's a well seasoned garage. The company by the way is contracted to service Canada Post, and Toronto EMS, they own the building, and came across as a historically well established repair shop.

Could my repair been done for cheaper, perhaps a few hundred to be honest. We all like to think that. But I'm satisfied with the job, quick straight up service I got.

Homework it to death first, Google and YouTube are your friend in these types of situations. Get yourself a cheap 15$ OBD 2 code reader and android app (free) Transmission repairs are never cheap. Like dental work. Sometimes it's cheaper to go get another vehicle. Information is powerful and can effect your bottom line. We were lucky this time around.

Good luck

I had the pleasure of dealing with Craig from Transmission Depot. Both him and the mechanics who worked on my car were respectful, professional and very welcoming. For a woman it can be very intimidating to be surrounded by so many men, but I wasn't. They found the problem with my car which was caused by a dealership and fixed it promptly. The best part about these men is that they show you every little thing that they do. they will bring you in the shop and show you the parts of the cars and how they fix it. I am so glad I chose Transmission Depot Toronto. I highly recommend them. To top it off they are VERY honest.

First class service and expertise

 by

Last fall I spent almost $500.00 at a Barrie Subaru, only to discover that they did not possess the technical ability to repair my 2008 Outback transmission. Their only suggestion was a transmission fluid flush or if that did not help, installing a rebuilt transmission for $9000.00 plus taxes. Since my car is nine years old and probably not worth a whole lot more than that, I opted for the Hail Mary flush, which was useless.

For these reasons I began to look for another shop. I settled on Transmission Depot in Toronto. Service Manager Joe Pronesti advised me that the repairs should not exceed more that one-third of the Barrie Subaru estimate .

I had my car transported to Toronto and in short order Mr.Pronesti advised that he was pretty sure that it was an electronic issue and shortly thereafter found that the transmission fluid heat sensor was malfunctioning.

The repair involved installing a new Valve Body Assembly at a cost of $ 2311.92 and my car is now running as smoothly as it did prior to this problem.

I am grateful to Mr. Pronesti and the Transmission Depot staff for their expertise and the caring manner in which they dealt with me. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing transmission repairs.

Excellant Service & Advice

 by

I began having trouble with what I suspected to be the transmission in my 2008 Subaru Outback. I had it towed from Parry Sound to Barrie Subaru
the closest Subaru dealer. I called them the next morning, they
confirmed it was the transmission and advised that my options were a transmission flush or a $10,000 transmission. The transmission flush was useless and the $10,000 transmission out of the question as it cost as much as the value of my car.
I went on line and found the Transmission Depot. I spoke with Service Manager Joe Pronesti who assured me it could be repaired for less than
one-third of Barrie Subaru's $10,000 quote.
In short order Mr Pronesti advised that he was an electronic issue and shortly thereafter found the transmission fluid heat sensor was malfunctioning. The repair involved installing a new Valve Assembly Body
at a cost of $2312, a far cry from Barrie Subaru's $10,000!
I would highly recommend Joe Pronesti and The Transmission Depot.

HEAVEN SENT

 by

Found them out of deperation. I was told by a dealership that I needed to replace my CVT at a cost of $6000.00. The vehicle also needed back brakes and an emergency cable changed. I was devestated. After looking for a transmission shop and reading the wonderful reviews, I gave them a call, made an appointment and crossed my fingers. I brought my car there and was pleasantly surprised with first off a tour of the place (who does that?), then I was brought into the shop while my car was being diagnosed and talked to like a person, not like a man talking to a woman, who they think knows nothing about cars. Right there they had already earned my respect. The diagnosis said that the transmission was in fact ok, and they asked me to leave my car and they would call me.

Long story short, it was the throttle body. That, my breaks and the emergency cable all for $1400.00 vs what would have cost me $7000.00.

Thank you Craig and Dan for the outstanding work, and for the follow up call the next morning, again, who does that. Very impressive and I would recommend that anyone take the time to drive there for their repairs.

Amazing service

 by

Not only did the Transmission Depot fix my car in a timely manor and in a cost efficient way, Craig, one of the shoppes employees was extremely supportive throughout the whole process. Craig would take the time each day to call me and keep me updated on how the work on my car was coming along; he took the time to explain why the problem existed and offered solutions. He was understanding, honest, caring and knowledgeable. I would recommend the Transmission Depot to anyone in need of service on their car!
